Learning to crochet should be relaxed, encouraging, and fun…not overwhelming! That’s why lessons at Little Yarn Barn are offered one-on-one, right in the shop. You’ll have focused time to ask questions, practice new skills, and build confidence at your own pace!
Lessons take place during regular store hours, with times arranged in advance so we can choose what works best for both of us.
4 Lessons | 1.5 Hours Each | $85 (basic supplies included)
Perfect for brand new crocheters or anyone wanting a fresh start. Over four relaxed sessions (either weekly or twice a week) you’ll learn:
- How to hold your hook and yarn comfortably
- Basic stitches
- How to start and finish a project
- Simple pattern understanding
- Troubleshooting common beginner challenges
Basic supplies are included, so you can simply show up ready to learn. By the end, you’ll have the skills and confidence to tackle beginner-friendly projects on your own.
2 Lessons | 1.5 Hours Each | $35 (plus supplies)
Designed for those who already know the basics…chain, single crochet, double crochet, etc…and are ready for the next step. These sessions can include:
- Reading and understanding patterns
- Increasing and decreasing
- Working in the round
- An introduction to amigurumi
- Building cleaner finishes and better technique
Supplies are not included and will depend on the project you choose.

Stuck on a project? Confused by a pattern? Need help fixing a mistake? Bring your work and we’ll sort it out together. If possible, please provide patterns in advance so it can be reviewed ahead of time and we can make the most of our session.
